In 1939, re the eve of World War II, a teen British stockbroker called Nicholas Winton did something in aspiration of fact amazing. He risked his moving picture to successfully save 669 mostly Jewish children from Czechoslovakia during The Holocaust by ensuring their safe passage to Britain. Sir Nicholas, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 and who recognized the Czech Order of the White Lion in 2014, died upon July 1, 2015, aged 106.
